Jaipur: In a rare occasion, three Rajasthan batters scored centuries to lead their side to a commanding position against Assam in the Col CK Nayudu U-23 Trophy Elite match at the KL Saini Stadium here on Saturday.After teenage debutant Rajat Baghel (145) made merry on the opening day, Raj Sharma (168) and Karan Lamba (100) also excelled with their willow to dominate Assam bowlers.Resuming at their overnight score of 212/3, Rajasthan added 258 runs to be all out for 480.Raj Sharma, who was batting on 52 after the end of opening day, went on to amass 168 (240b, 21×4, 1×6). Raj added 210 runs for the fifth wicket with Karan (100: 125b, 12×4).In reply, Assam got off to a poor start and ended the Day 2 at 84 for 4.At one stage, they were reeling at 32 for 4 as medium-pacer Ganesh Suthar (11-2-25-4) ripped apart the visitors’ top-order.So far, Rajveer and Sumit added 52 for the unbroken fifth wicket.
