Jaipur: Amit Thanvi, Dimpy Sharma, Bhuvansh Raj Meena reigned supreme in their respective categories on the third day of the TTFI-2 Open State Table Tennis Championship being held at Wonkar Table Tennis Academy, Vaishali Nagar here on Saturday.The U-19 boys category remained a major attraction on Day Three. Bhuvansh once again displayed remarkable consistency to clinch the first position. Divyanshu Rajput finished as the runner-up, while Akshat Sharma and Ved Prakash secured third and fourth spots, respectively.
In the U-19 girls singles, Dimpy claimed the top spot beating Maulika Dhanvi in the final. Kaushiki (Tonk) and Harshita (Tonk) jointly secured third place. All players were awarded prize money for their commendable performances.Amit Thanvi, who outclassed Lokesh Nirwan stormed into the men’s singles semifinals. Raman overcame Aritra, Divyanshu defeated Rishi, while Akshat got the better of Pranay to book their places in the last four.In the men’s and women’s team event finals, Sirohi emerged victorious by upsetting Jaipur. Jaipur’s Table Tigers (men) and Tonk (women) finished third in their respective categories.A large number of parents, players, and table tennis enthusiasts were present on the third day of the championship including past prominent national and international players who also distributed medals and trophies to the winners and runner ups. The organisers informed that on the final day, senior category matches from 39 plus to 80 plus age groups will be played, featuring top senior players from across the state.
