Woman alleges attempt to force organ sale in city

Jaipur: A 25-year-old woman from West Bengal filed an FIR at the Ashok Nagar police station Saturday, alleging that she was lured to a man’s house in Jaipur with the promise of a job and later held hostage, assaulted, and pressured to sell her kidney.The FIR, registered at Ashok Nagar police station, states that the woman was acquainted with a man residing near Maharshi Dadhichi Circle. About ten days ago, he allegedly invited her to his residence on the pretext of offering employment. Once inside, she was reportedly confined and subjected to sustained abuse.According to police officials, the woman was forcibly detained by the accused and his associates, who allegedly attempted to coerce her into agreeing to sell her kidney. When she resisted, they assaulted her, verbally abused her, and sexually harassed her. The FIR further states that she was forced to place her thumb impression on blank documents at gunpoint.“She managed to escape from the house and reached the police station to lodge a complaint,” an officer said, adding that the matter is being treated with seriousness due to the nature of the allegations.The police have launched an investigation and are in the process of identifying the accused and verifying the claims made by the complainant. No arrests were made at the time of filing this report.
