Jaipur: The Rajasthan Elementary & Secondary Teachers Association (RESTA) has urged the state govt to reschedule the state-level teachers’ conference to avoid a clash with half-yearly exams for Classes 9 to 12, scheduled from Nov 25 to Dec 7. The conference is scheduled for Nov 27 and 28. The association said rescheduling the event would help ensure smooth conduct of examinations and allow teachers to participate.RESTA state president Mohar Singh Salawad said the dates of the conference should be reconsidered, keeping in mind academic activities in schools, examination duties and the practical difficulties faced by teachers.“The conference is an important platform to discuss academic concerns, departmental issues and organisational matters. Therefore, it should be held after the half-yearly examinations,” Salawad added. He said this would help ensure teachers’ participation while allowing examinations and other school activities to proceed smoothly.
