Jaipur: A day after the Special Operations Group (SOG) arrested a 35-year-old govt school lecturer for allegedly securing the 20th rank in the 2022 School Lecturer Recruitment Exam by accessing the paper in advance, the agency intensified its investigation to identify other beneficiaries of the racket.According to the FIR registered on April 10, Kavita Lakhera, posted as an Economics teacher at a govt school in Beawar, allegedlypaid 25 lakh through her brother, Deepak Lakshkar, to members of the paper leak syndicate—identified as Omprakash Gurjar, Ganpat Bishnoi, Ramratan, and others. “Deepak disclosed that his sister applied for the RPSC-conducted School Lecturer exam held on Oct 15 and 16, 2022. To secure her selection, he paid Rs 25 lakh in cash to Omprakash Gurjar,” an SOG official said.On the morning of the exam, Deepak dropped Kavita at Mansarovar Metro Station, from where Ganpat Bishnoi picked her up in a Scorpio and took her to a safe house. There, eigh to 10 other aspirants were already present. The accused handed over solved photocopies of the Economics paper to the candidates around two hours before the exam. Later, they were dropped at their respective exam centres. Investigators said that Rs 12 lakh was paid to Omprakash after the exam, and the remaining Rs 13 lakh was handed over following Kavita’s selection. The money was raised by Deepak by selling a JDA plot in Jaipur’s Priyadarshini Nagar.Following Deepak’s arrest, the SOG seized two of his mobile phones, which contained chats with Kavita referencing assurances from the gang regarding guaranteed selection.
