Jaipur: Rajasthan Police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) Tuesday arrested two more accused individuals, including a fugitive carrying a Rs 10,000 bounty, in connection with the 2021 Sub-Inspector recruitment examination paper leak case. The duo allegedly supplied leaked, solved question papers to candidates before the examination.Additional Director General of Police Vishal Bansal said the accused, Dinesh Kilka and Rakesh Kumar, were arrested during the investigation into the case registered at the SOG police station.According to investigators, Dinesh, then the operator of a coaching institute in Shahpura, struck deals with candidates Avinash Palsania and Parmesh Choudhary for Rs 20 lakh and Rs 16 lakh, respectively, to provide them with the leaked solved question paper before the examination.Police said both candidates later secured appointments as sub-inspectors after ranking 86th and 180th in the final merit list. They were arrested earlier during the investigation.SOG officials said Dinesh absconded after the arrest of Avinash Palsania, prompting an announcement of a Rs 10,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.During interrogation, Dinesh allegedly disclosed that he had obtained the leaked solved paper from Rakesh Kumar for Rs 35 lakh.Investigators alleged that Rakesh procured the leaked paper through handlers linked to the paper leak syndicate headed by Anil alias Shersingh Meena, while another accused, Arun Sharma, facilitated the transaction. Arun was arrested in the case in July 2024. Both accused have been remanded to police custody until July 4.With the latest arrests, the number of accused held in the SI recruitment paper leak case has risen to 149. Further investigation is underway.
