Jaipur: Union railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw Thursday announced that a revamped IRCTC website will be launched by July 15 after students at MNIT Jaipur, during an interaction with the minister, flagged persistent glitches on the ticket-booking platform, particularly related to OTPs and CAPTCHA verification.Labhisha Meena, a student of the department of humanities and social sciences, told TOI, “The minister was interacting with students, so I raised a common issue faced by many citizens who try to book tickets through IRCTC. Getting an OTP or CAPTCHA on the portal is very difficult, and many times, tickets cannot be booked.”The minister immediately dialled senior officials at IRCTC and discussed the issue, after which he announced that a new website will be launched by July 15.Students added that Vaishnaw urged them to use the RailOne app, developed by Indian Railways, for booking tickets or access other services related to railways.Another student, Naaz Bano, raised the issue of problems faced by women in trains while breastfeeding and suggested that a dedicated space for breastfeeding be created in every coach. Vaishnaw asked his team to note the suggestion.
