Jaipur: Accessing govt services in Rajasthan is set to become easier with the state expanding its e-Mitra WhatsApp platform by adding 21 new services. The latest addition includes services offered by Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JVVNL) and the Directorate of Local Bodies (DLB), taking the total number of services available on the platform from 51 to 72.Residents can access the services by saving the official WhatsApp number, 9461062705, and sending a message such as “Hi”, “Hello”, “eMitra”, “Hi eMitra”, “Hello eMitra” or “Hi Team”. Once the chat is initiated, users can choose from the list of available services and complete transactions in a few clicks. The platform is available in both Hindi and English. The newly added services include checking the status of applications for fire NOCs, trade licences, sewer connections, urban development tax, property mutation, signage licences, one-time lease deeds and street vendor licences. Users can also download related certificates directly through WhatsApp without visiting govt offices.DLB officials said the services will soon be integrated with the e-Mitra mobile app and e-Mitra kiosks through API integration, making the same digital services available across all platforms.Officials said the initiative is part of the state govt’s vision of providing “one platform, multiple govt services” to make public service delivery simpler, faster and more transparent. More services will be added to the platform in phases, enabling citizens to access a wider range of govt services through their mobile phones.
