Bhilwara: Tension in Rajmahal village of Tonk district was resolved late Friday night when protesters reached an agreement with authorities following the death of Pappu Lal Gurjar, who was fatally crushed by a tractor carrying river sand (bajri) Wednesday.The breakthrough came with the intervention of local MLA Rajendra Gurjar, who mediated between the administration and the deceased’s family. Under the agreement, the family will receive Rs 5 lakh in cash compensation, Rs 5 lakh from the Chiranjeevi Insurance Scheme and Rs 2 lakh from a community philanthropist. One family member will also be provided a contractual job. TNN
