Jaisalmer: A man was arrested in Jaisalmer Thursday for allegedly raping a married woman, recording an obscene video of her and extorting about Rs 47 lakh by threatening to make the video public.Police said the accused, identified as Mukesh, son of Majid Khan. A Pokhran court remanded him in police custody.According to police, the woman lodged a complaint through a court, alleging that the accused concealed his identity and contacted her while posing as a Hindu man. She alleged that he later raped her and recorded an obscene video without her consent.The woman further alleged that the accused repeatedly threatened to circulate the video online and, using the threat, extorted about Rs 47 lakh from her. Unable to bear the alleged blackmail and harassment, she approached the court.
