Man held for killing friend over wage dispute in Bhilwara

Bhilwara: District police arrested a man from Madhya Pradesh’s Ratlam district for allegedly stabbing his friend to death following a dispute over wages in the Mandal police station area of Bhilwara, SP Sagar Rana said Wednesday.The accused, identified as Ankit Peter (38), was arrested after an investigation into the murder of Hitesh, who was living with him at the time of the incident.According to Rana, a complaint was lodged at Mandal police station on June 8 by Deepak Kumar Maheshwari, a resident of Jhabua district in Madhya Pradesh. He stated that the family was informed that very morning that Hitesh was unwell. Following this, he then travelled to Bhilwara along with Hitesh’s wife Yogita and brother Vijay Sharma.During the investigation, it emerged that Hitesh had a quarrel with Peter over wages and was allegedly stabbed with a knife. He was rushed to a hospital by his employer’s son, Kamal Meghwanshi, where doctors declared him dead.Police registered a murder case and formed a special investigation team under DSP Rahul Joshi. Investigators inspected the crime scene, and the probe concluded that Hitesh was killed by Peter. He was subsequently arrested and is being interrogated.A post-mortem examination was conducted, and the body was later handed over to the family.
