Jaipur: A 15-year-old boy was electrocuted in Dholpur district after a live overhead wire snapped and fell on him in Jalalpur village on Saturday evening. Police said he sustained serious burns and was rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed Sunday.Tanuj Singh, a Class XI student, was on his way to meet friends when the accident occurred just a few metres from his house. He suffered severe burns from the electric shock and was immediately taken to the district hospital. His family alleged that overhead electricity wires near their home were in poor condition, and the issue was brought to the attention of local power department officials, but no action was taken. Tanuj’s father is a farmer. The bereaved kin informed cops, following which police registered a case and launched an investigation. The body was later handed over to Tanuj’s family after a post-mortem.
