Jaipur: Jaipur International Airport Limited (JIAL) Monday introduced four hybrid self-baggage drop counters at Terminal 2 (T2), allowing passengers to tag and drop their bags with minimal staff assistance.The new counters have built-in checks to verify baggage tags and other details before the bags are sent for handling. Airport staff can also operate the counters when passengers require assistance.Airport officials said Air India has deployed the new system at T2, while IndiGo and Air India Express are expected to introduce it soon.An airport spokesperson said, “The introduction of hybrid self-baggage drop counters is a step towards a more technology-enabled airport. By simplifying routine processes, the system makes baggage drop more convenient while giving us the flexibility to scale capacity in response to passenger traffic and peak-period demand.”
