Jaipur: Rajasthan High Court’s Jaipur bench has restrained Shatrudhan Tiwari, secretary of the District Cricket Association, Bharatpur, from taking any important decision concerning the association pending inquiry into complaints of sexual misconduct against him by women and minor cricketers.The association was suspended on June 18, 2026, while complaints were under investigation. According to the petition, complaints of sexual misconduct were levelled against him.Justice Manish Sharma passed the interim directions on Sept 7 while hearing a petition filed by Bharatpur woman cricketer Shikha Sharma. The petition challenged Rajasthan Cricket Association administrator’s Aug 1, 2026, order revoking the temporary suspension of the District Cricket Association, Bharatpur, and its office-bearers.The petitioner argued that the suspension was lifted before the investigation had concluded and questioned the procedure followed while issuing the Aug 1 order.The court directed Tiwari not to tamper with the association’s original records, influence or intimidate the complainant or witnesses, or interfere with the inquiry. It also directed him to cooperate with the inquiry officer.The HC issued notices to the respondents, returnable within six weeks, and listed the matter thereafter. The matter will come up again after the respondents file their replies.
