Jaipur: A 55-year-old hotel owner was chased and gunned down by two bike-borne shooters near Bhadra town in Hanumangarh district Friday night. Police have identified the shooters and suspect the killing is in revenge for a 2004 murder in which the victim was the accused but was acquitted by court.Police have detained about six people in connection with the crime, including the owner of the motorcycle used as the getaway vehicle by the shooters. The victim, Suresh Bizaraniya, was shot multiple times by the attackers, who then fled the scene, abandoning both their motorcycle and a pistol.According to Bhadra circle officer Sanjeev Katewa, Suresh was sitting outside his hotel when the two men arrived. One of them, wearing a helmet, entered the hotel while the other stayed outside. Suresh attempted to flee but was surrounded and shot at close range. The assailants then fired at his head before escaping. As they fled, they also fired again towards the hotel. A forensic team collected 11 spent bullet shells, two bullet fragments, a pistol, and the motorcycle. Suresh’s body bore multiple gunshot wounds.
