Jaipur: Governor Haribhau Bagde Friday urged the education department to implement more practical methods of teaching in the education system, especially for students of primary and upper primary standards.“The primary and upper primary educations are the foundation of learning. Special attention should be paid to implement practical methods of teaching in these standards,” Bagde stated while attending a review meeting at the Jaipur district Collectorate. He said special attention should be paid to education in the mother tongue, construction of gymnasiums in hostels and development of sports facilities.“The governor has asked to expand such facilities utilising MLA and MP LAD funds. He directed officials to ensure the prospects of talented children from weaker sections of society by providing them with affordable coaching and scholarships,” stated a press release issued by the governor’s office.He directed officials to observe a “No Accident Month” in the district. According to the blueprint, during this period, efforts should be made at all levels to create awareness about accidents. At the same time, the focus shall be on preventing drunk driving, overspeeding and drivers falling asleep while driving.“Following this direction by the governor, district collector Jitendra Kumar Soni said collectorate would initiate this campaign soon by identifying 100 roads of district, comprising the 88 black spots,” stated a district official. “While reviewing the Jal Jeevan Mission, Bagde said that efforts should be made so that no house is deprived of drinking water. He expressed the need to do effective work for groundwater conservation under the Atal Ground Water Scheme. He also emphasised promoting electricity production from the sun by making people aware of the Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme,” another official stated.
