Jaipur: Education Minister Madan Dilawar Monday said that the recognition process for private schools in Rajasthan will be made more transparent, time-bound and streamlined. Applications for the recognition will be invited from July 31. In a review meeting, Dilawar said that private schools must fully comply with govt regulations; otherwise, action will be taken in accordance with the rules. After a detailed review of the new recognition application process, Dilawar said that an initial committee must conduct an inspection and submit its report within seven days. Subsequently, the District Education Officer must examine the report and forward it within 15 days. The final decision will be taken at director-level. Dilawar said that the inspection process would be completely transparent.“The entire process — from committee formation to report submission — will adhere to the prescribed timelines. Action will be taken against any inspecting officer who causes unnecessary delay. Every deficiency found during inspection must be clearly documented, and applications will be accepted only in the prescribed format. Additionally, necessary amendments will be made to prioritise child safety and simplify regulations,” said Dilawar. The minister directed officials that thorough inspections must be conducted regarding student seating arrangements, assembly areas, buildings, classrooms, access or movement facilities and other essential amenities.“Student safety is top priority. I instruct all schools to ensure that children are not dropped off from vehicles outside the school premises but are safely dropped off inside the campus,” added the minister.
