Jaipur: Anti-Corruption Bureau’s (ACB) Dholpur unit Thursday arrested a senior medical officer and a private man while allegedly accepting a Rs 35,000 bribe at the govt hospital in Nadbai, Bharatpur district.ACB director general of police Govind Gupta said Shashikant Sharma, senior medical officer at the hospital, allegedly demanded the money through Trilok Chand Sharma alias Chinu, who acted as his middleman. The complainant had lodged an assault case at Nadbai police station after family members suffered injuries and were to undergo a medical examination at the hospital. He alleged that Sharma demanded the money to prepare MLC (medico-legal case report).The Dholpur team verified the complaint before laying the trap. Trilok Chand Sharma was caught while allegedly accepting the money on behalf of the doctor. The bribe was recovered from his trouser pocket. Dr Shashikant Sharma was detained from his govt residence.The trap was conducted under the supervision of ACB Bharatpur Range DIG Om Prakash Meena and led by Dholpur ACB DySP Premchand Meena.
