Jaipur: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma Sunday reviewed preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visit to the HPCL Rajasthan Refinery at Pachpadra on July 4, directing officials to complete all arrangements in a time-bound manner and ensure foolproof security. The CM inspected the refinery’s Central Control Unit, where officials briefed him on the plant’s operations and displayed samples of petroleum products and byproducts to be produced at the refinery. He also reviewed the project’s technical and operational aspects.During a review meeting, Sharma instructed officials to ensure there were no security lapses and directed that entry passes be issued only after police verification of visitors. He also asked officials to install adequate signage for smooth movement, besides ensuring sufficient seating, drinking water, medical teams, doctors and emergency healthcare facilities at the venue.Modi was originally scheduled to dedicate the refinery to the nation on April 21. However, the inauguration was called off a day before the event after a major fire broke out during trial operations in the Crude Distillation Unit area of the HPCL Rajasthan Refinery, prompting the immediate postponement of the programme.
