Jaisalmer: A Swift car carrying devotees returning after the darshan of Tanot Mata crashed into the rear of a tractor-trolley on Tanot Road in Jaisalmer Sunday, killing a 17-year-old and leaving four others seriously injured.The crash occurred on the Jaisalmer-Tanot route between Sonu and Parewar villages, where the car hit the tractor-trolley travelling ahead. Witnesses said the collision was so powerful that the car got lodged into the trolley, with its front portion badly damaged.All the occupants were reported to be residents of Nokha Mandi in Bikaner district.The deceased was identified as Surendra, 17. He was critically injured and taken to hospital, where doctors declared him dead after examination.The injured were identified as Bhagwanaram, 42; Yashoda, wife of Bhagwanaram, 38; Narendra, son of Bhagwanaram, 15; and Mohit, son of Manoj, 35. They were taken to Govt Jawahar Hospital for initial treatment, where doctors began treatment without delay. One woman, stated to be in a more critical condition, was referred to Jodhpur for better treatment, while the others remained under observation.
