Jaipur: Two schoolgirls from Bhankrota who left for school Wednesday and failed to return were safely traced to Gandhinagar railway station late that night, after police discovered that their deep fascination with the K-pop group BTS had prompted them to leave.Bhanakrota SHO Deepak Tyagi said the two minor girls were successfully located and reunited with their families unharmed. The girls’ families had alerted police around 3 pm after they failed to return from school.DCP (West) Prashant Kiran directed officers to launch an immediate search. A team was formed under Additional DCP Rajesh Gupta and ACP Dharmendra Kumar Sharma, led by SHO Tyagi.Police obtained the girls’ photographs and identity documents from their families and examined their social media activity. Relatives also provided account details, which helped investigators identify their interests and possible movements.During the probe, police found that the girls spent considerable time online and were particularly drawn to BTS and their hit song ‘Dynamite’. This digital trail offered vital clues regarding their destination.Authorities circulated the girls’ photographs across local police stations, Govt Railway Police (GRP) units, bus stands, and Jaipur airport while teams scoured various locations.The breakthrough came when someone recognised the photographs at Gandhinagar railway station. A police team rushed to the station and found both girls at Railway Protection Force (RPF) office. Police safely brought the girls back and handed them over to their families.According to police sources, preliminary investigations indicate the minors left home hoping to meet South Korean songwriter and producer Bang Si-Hyuk, popularly known as ‘Hitman’ Bang.Further inquiry is underway to determine the exact circumstances that led the girls to leave home and travel to the station.
