Jaipur: Ahead of Congress’s ‘Vote Chor-Gaddi Chhod’ rally in New Delhi on Dec 14, AICC general secretary K C Venugopal and senior Congress functionary Ajay Maken will visit Jaipur on Dec 10. The visit aims to review preparations for the rally, including meetings with state Cong members and organising assembly-wise transportation for attendees.Additionally, discussions are expected regarding the appointment of district Congress committee presidents in five districts, including Jaipur City.It is believed that the Congress will announce the names of district presidents for five party districts following the AICC’s mega rally in New Delhi on Dec 14, according to party sources.A party source earlier said Rajasthan in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa will sit with party leaders after the rally to finalise names for Baran and Jhalawar districts. In the same meeting, the names for Jaipur City, Rajsamand, and Pratapgarh will also be finalised, the source said. After that, the AICC will take the final call on the DCC presidents of the five party districts.Leading contenders for the positions include Virendra Singh and Suresh Gurjar for Jhalawar district, Panachand Meghwal for Baran, Digvijay Singh and Bhanu Pratap Singh for Pratapgarh, Aditya Pratap Singh and Govardhan Singh for Rajsamand, and Pushpendra Bhardwaj and Sunil Sharma for Jaipur City.The Congress party is planning to send over 50,000 participants from Jaipur to New Delhi for the mega rally.
