Jaipur: Former minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas Sunday led a march to the Jaipur Metal Factory on Station Road in protest against an alleged scam in the factory’s transfer to a private company. Addressing supporters, Khachariyawas said the chief minister’s office was involved in a “Rs 1,000-crore scam” linked to the factory’s handover to the private company, Alchemist. He claimed that based on a ruling by National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), the govt transferred possession of the factory to Alchemist within just three days through the chief secretary and the industries secretary.Khachariyawas said the state had 45 days to challenge the NCLT decision in the Supreme Court, but instead showed alacrity in transferring the company. “By hurriedly handing over possession, the govt has proved it does not want to give anything to the workers,” he alleged.
