Times News NetworkJaipur: The Central Zone bench of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) in Bhopal has issued notices to the central and state govts, the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO), and other authorities after admitting a petition alleging that nearly three hectares of the reserved forest land within the Nahargarh Wildlife Sanctuary was illegally converted into an industrial cluster.Referring to revenue records, the tribunal said, “The land in question, Khasra No. 7/2 of Village Beer Papad in Jaipur, has been recorded for decades in the name of the forest department.” Despite this, industrial units have operated on the plot for over 40 years in the heart of Vishwakarma Industrial (VKI) Area, which was established in 1971 and now has nearly 2,000 factories.
