Jaipur: With several recruitment exams scheduled to begin in the state from Nov 2, the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board Monday issued the latest dress code for candidates for the winter months. Candidates will not be allowed to wear wristwatches, bangles, rings, and bracelets for examinations. The dress code mentions that male candidates can wear full or half-sleeved shirts, T-shirts, kurta pyjama, and pants, while female candidates can wear salwar suits with chunnis or saris, half or full-sleeved shirts, half or full-sleeved kurtas, blouses, and a simple rubber band in their hair. “Candidates may wear coats, sweaters, and warm, full-sleeved jerseys without any metal or large buttons. However, if required, the candidate will have to remove them for verification during the examination. Candidates will be allowed to wear thin glass bangles, simple Kalava (sacred thread), and Janeu (sacred thread) without any metal. Slippers, sandals, shoes, and socks should all be worn up to the ankle level,” states the dress code. If any candidate carries a sword as a religious symbol, then “it must be small and covered, and it will not be permitted on the examination table.” “If any candidate is found carrying a Bluetooth device, calculator, smartwatch, mobile phone, or any weapon like a knife during checking at the gate, it will be considered that the candidate brought these knowingly with wrong intentions, and he/she will be disqualified from that examination. After investigation, legal action will be taken as per rules,” states an official order issued by the board. Candidates will also not be allowed to appear in the examination centre wearing any type of watch, sunglasses, belt, handbag, hairpin, cap or hat, scarf, stole, shawl, muffler, tie, or blazer. Shoes with metal chains will also not be allowed.
