NEW DELHI: The Rajasthan high court on Thursday cancelled the Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment examination held in 2021. The decision comes after years of petitions and protests by candidates who alleged widespread cheating in the selection process. Earlier, in November 2024, the court had halted the passing-out parade and appointment of trainee sub-inspectors. The cancelled examination had been conducted to fill 859 posts. Investigations by the state’s Special Operations Group (SOG) confirmed the use of dummy candidates and paper leaks.More than 150 people, including 50 trainee sub-inspectors and two members of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), were arrested in connection with the case.
