UP Muslim youth fakes identity, elopes with NEET aspirant in Kota

Kota: A 25-year-old Muslim youth from Uttar Pradesh masquerading as 18-year-old ‘Aadi’ on Instagram, befriended and eloped with a 15-year-old girl from Bihar preparing for NEET in Kota. The girl, who left her hostel room in Kota’s Kunhadi police station last Friday, took assistance from the cab driver driving them to UP to reach the nearest police station after she realised through the man’s behaviour and dialect that he had faked his identity.During the journey, the minor grew suspicious of the youth’s identity when she heard him converse with his relatives over phone. She persuaded the cab driver to reach the nearest police station – Jhansi city police station – enroute to Lucknow. In the meantime, the girl’s disappearance was reported to the police by the hostel caretaker. The police formed a team and tracked the cab driver, leading their way to Jhansi from where the girl was rescued and the accused was detained.Identified as Mohammed Razak, 25, a resident of Lucknow, the accused was booked for kidnapping and wrongful confinement under section 137 (2), 127 (3) of BNS, and 84 of the Juvenile Justice Act in Kunhadi police station and sent to jail under judicial custody on Wednesday. tnn
