Jaipur: Three members of a family, including a seven-year-old child, were seriously injured early Saturday morning when a speeding car hit their motorcycle near a water tank in Amer area of the city. The driver, who was reportedly drunk, attempted to flee but was caught by local residents and handed over to the police.The victims were identified as Lalidevi, 38, her son Lavish, 7, and Jitendra, 41, residents of Handipura. The collision threw the family off the bike and left them with serious injuries.Locals immediately alerted emergency services and helped shift the injured to the Community Health Centre in Amer. Lalidevi, who suffered a severe spinal injury, was later referred to the SMS Trauma Centre for further medical care.Locals alleged that even after repeated calls, the police didn’t reach the scene in time. Bystanders eventually took matters into their own hands and transported the injured to the hospital.
