Jaipur: Rajasthan’s IT department has directed officials to prepare a standard toolkit for Aadhaar and Jan Aadhaar services, providing clear, uniform information on application and update procedures, required documents, and timelines to reduce confusion and repeated visits to govt offices.During an inspection of Rajasthan Sampark Helpline 181, IT secretary Ravi Kumar Surpur spoke directly to complainants and heard grievances related to an OBC certificate not being updated in Jan Aadhaar, a child’s name missing from a birth certificate, a loan not being sanctioned under the Vishwakarma Yojana and a no-objection certificate (NOC) not being issued despite repayment of a Kisan Credit Card (KCC) loan.“People face inconvenience due to inadequate information about the time taken for issuance of new Aadhaar and Jan Aadhaar cards and the process for updating various details in the card,” Surpur said. The toolkit will detail procedures for applying for new cards, updating information and completing related formalities. It will also specify the required documents, application disposal process and likely timelines for card issuance.During the inspection, Surpur interacted with complainants through audio and video calls. Sohan Lal of Jodhpur said his OBC certificate had not been updated in his Jan Aadhaar card, while Sunil from Sawai Madhopur complained that his child’s name had not been entered in the birth certificate.Shankar Lal of Jhalawar reported that he had not received a loan under the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana. Vikas of Kotputli-Behror said he had not received an NOC despite repaying his KCC loan. Surpur directed officials concerned to take prompt action on the grievances and use Sampark AI to identify their root causes. He also called for regular monitoring of e-Mitra centres and monthly meetings with district-level officers to review their functioning and improve service delivery. He stressed that services should be provided within prescribed timelines and centres must maintain transparency and follow established procedures.Surpur further directed the department’s representative to analyse major banking-related complaints under the Rajasthan Institute for Transformation and Innovation (RITI). Officials will use Sampark AI to identify the reasons behind these grievances and prepare an action plan to expedite the resolution of loan-related issues and ensure timely relief to applicants.
