Jaipur: A man allegedly used AI to create a fake Rajasthan Govt Health Scheme (RGHS) identity card, posed as a govt official and allegedly collected Rs40,000 from a hospital in Nagaur for a purported audit, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) said Tuesday.The accused, Manish Kumar Sharma, was detained by Jaipur City-III ACB team during a trap operation following a complaint that he had demanded money from SKI Hospital in Didwana for conducting an audit.ACB DG Govind Gupta said Sharma initially demanded Rs35,000 but later raised the amount to Rs45,000. He allegedly accepted Rs40,000 from the complainant during the trap.The operation was conducted under the supervision of ACB DIG-II Jaipur Om Prakash Meena and led by additional SP Gyan Prakash Naval.During preliminary investigation, ACB found that Sharma had allegedly used AI to create an identity card in the name of Santosh Kumar Sharma, identifying him as a district coordinator with RGHS. He had also allegedly prepared a forged letter, numbered 3350 and dated Aug 22, 2026, purportedly issued to the hospital.Sharma allegedly showed the documents to the hospital manager and claimed he was an RGHS official authorised to conduct an audit. He also allegedly claimed to be working as an upper division clerk with RGHS.ACB said the identity and designation mentioned in the documents were false and Sharma was not a govt employee.The preliminary probe indicated possible offences involving impersonation, use of forged documents and fraud, officials said. Further legal action has been initiated at Jyoti Nagar police station in Jaipur.
