Bhilwara: Two minor sisters died after allegedly being bitten by a snake while sleeping with their mother in the courtyard of their maternal grandparents’ house in Mokhampura village under Raipur police station area late Sunday night.Raipur police station officer Rajesh Tiwari said Gnyani Devi Gurjar had come to her parental home with her daughters, Krishna (5) and Bhavana (2). The family was sleeping in the courtyard when a snake bit both girls in the early hours of Monday.The family rushed the sisters to the Community Health Centre in Raipur, where doctors declared Bhavana dead. As Krishna’s condition was critical, they referred her to the district hospital in Bhilwara. However, she died on the way, police said.Following the incident, relatives and locals gathered at the health centre. The bodies were returned to the family after a post-mortem at the CHC.
