Jaipur: Amid thrilling action at the Rajasthan State Ranking Badminton Championship being held at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium’s Indoor Badminton Hall on Saturday, Bhilwara’s Advika Sharma and Aaradhya Taylor achieved double success. The talented duo won both the Under-19 girls’ doubles and women’s doubles matches and advanced to the next round.In the Under-19 girls’ doubles, Advika Sharma and Aaradhya Taylor outclassed Udaipur’s Diva Chaplot and Soumya Singh 15-10, 15-11. Then, in the women’s doubles, the same pair registered their second victory, edging past Jaipur’s Sadhna Sikarwal and Yukti 8-15, 15-13, 15-8 in a three-game contest.

All the top seeds justified their seedings in the men’s singles.
Top seed Daksh Bhati of Churu thumped Shubham Saini of Jodhpur 15-6, 15-2. Second seed and former Indian team player Shubham Patel of Alwar made the light work of Jaipur’s Dev Chaudhary 15-4, 15-4. Bharatpur’s third seed Bhuvan Singh steamrolled Devashish Prajapat of Jaipur 15-4, 15-3, while Kartik Jain got the better of Ayush Yadav of Jaipur 15-8, 15-11 to move up.In mixed doubles, third-seeded Kota-Tonk pair Dipanshu and Aditi Sharma dismissed Aniket Yadav and Nandini Swami of Pratapgarh 15-4, 15-5, while U-19 boys singles fourth seed Darsheel Sen kept his challenge alive by beating Kuldeep Singh Tanwar of Jaipur in a three-game thriller.Organising secretary Atul Gupta stated that the week-long competition was inaugurated by Dr Rajiv Gupta, Director of Suvira Hospital, and Dheeraj Vijayvargiya. On this occasion, Manoj Dasot, vice president of the Rajasthan Badminton Association, introduced the chief guests to the players and warmly welcomed them with mementos.Atul Gupta added that 180 matches were played throughout the day. The next round of the competition will begin at 9.30am on Sunday.
