Jaipur: A woman who was allegedly abducted after her husband was assaulted near Malpura Gate bus stand told police that she staged the kidnapping to escape her marriage and reunite with her boyfriend.Police said the alleged abduction, reported Tuesday, was part of a pre-planned escape. The woman’s 28-year-old husband lodged a complaint alleging that four men in a car assaulted him and abducted his wife. Two of the accused were caught by bystanders and handed over to police. The woman appeared before police Thursday and told investigators that she left voluntarily.According to police, the woman said she had been in a relationship with another man for the past four to five years and that the two had married at a temple. She alleged that after her family learnt about the relationship, they confined her at home and forced her to marry another man in April this year.Police said the woman did not move to her husband’s home after the marriage and continued to stay with her parents. About six days later, she allegedly left her parental home, following which her family lodged a missing person complaint with Ajmer police.Investigators said that on Tuesday, after the couple reached Malpura Gate bus stand, four men in a car intercepted them.
