Jaisalmer: Three men were killed and two others were injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a car on Sri Ganganagar-Sirohi National Highway-62 near Netewala village in Sriganganagar district Friday.The deceased were identified as Monu Verma, 25, and Kuldeep Singh, 25, both residents of Binjhbaila, and Pradeep Loona, 23, a resident of 48 LNP village.Eyewitnesses said the impact of the crash was so severe that the car was completely mangled and the victims were trapped inside it. Locals made strenuous efforts to extricate the bodies before emergency teams arrived.After receiving information about the accident, SP Harishankar Yadav, DSP Bhupendra Soni and Sadar police station SHO Subhash Dheel rushed to the spot. Rescue and relief operations were launched immediately, and the bodies were sent for post-mortem examination.The bodies were sent for post-mortem examination, and police are investigating the matter.
