Bhilwara: Chittorgarh’s Kotwali police arrested a 20-year-old man and recovered more than 1 kg of MDMA (Molly powder) allegedly from his possession Tuesday. The arrest was part of the ongoing initiative ‘Operation Trinetra’, targeting the illegal trade of narcotic substances in the region.Police identified the accused as Piyush Solanki, who hails from Hadji ka Piplia in Pratapgarh district. Solanki was tracked down while he was carrying a backpack along Bhilwara Road, near Inani Residency. Upon searching his bag, the policemen allegedly discovered 1kg and 8 grams of MDMA cleverly packed in four separate plastic bags.According to Chittorgarh Superintendent of Police Dharmendra Singh, a police team, operating under Additional SP Mukul Sharma, has been vigilant in monitoring drug activities as part of ‘Operation Trinetra’. Singh said this operation aims to disrupt the supply chain of narcotics in the district.During preliminary questioning, Piyush allegedly confessed to transporting the illegal substance from Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh to Bhilwara in Rajasthan. The authorities officially arrested Solanki, and further investigations are underway to uncover the broader network involved in the drug trade.
