JAISALMER: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s proposed visit, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Sunday inspected the Pachpadra Refinery in Balotra district to review the preparations and arrangements.During the visit, he toured the refinery complex and the venue of the proposed public event, issuing necessary directions to officials.The Chief Minister inspected the refinery’s Crude Distillation Unit and the Main Control Room. Officials briefed him on the refinery’s functioning and showcased samples of various petroleum and petrochemical products to be produced at the facility.He also reviewed the technical operations and infrastructure of the refinery.Sharma later inspected the public meeting venue and chaired a review meeting with senior officials regarding preparations for the Prime Minister’s proposed visit.He examined the event layout and directed officials to ensure foolproof security arrangements.Considering the prevailing summer conditions, the Chief Minister instructed officials to make adequate arrangements for drinking water, seating, and medical facilities for the public attending the event.He also directed the Traffic Police and Transport Department to coordinate effectively to ensure sufficient parking arrangements. Officials presented a detailed briefing on the preparations during the meeting.Speaking to the media, the Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rajasthan is achieving new milestones in development.He announced that the Prime Minister will inaugurate the country’s first greenfield integrated refinery-cum-petrochemical complex in Balotra on July 4.He said the refinery would strengthen India’s energy self-reliance while giving a major boost to Rajasthan’s industrial development.Following the review meeting, the Chief Minister visited the Shaktipeeth Maa Sambhra Ashapura Temple, where he offered prayers and sought blessings for the prosperity and well-being of the state.He also greeted devotees present at the temple.Among those present during the visit were Animal Husbandry Minister Joraram Kumawat, Minister of State for Industries and Commerce K.K. Bishnoi, Member of Parliament Madan Rathore, MLAs Hamir Singh Bhayal, Dr. Arun Chaudhary, and Aduram Meghwal, along with representatives of HPCL, HRRL, the district administration, and other concerned departments.
