Jaipur: Governor Haribhau Bagde Thursday appealed to the public to voluntarily minimise vehicle usage and use public transport for fuel conservation. Taking personal initiative, he also reduced the number of vehicles in his official motorcade during his travels.On Thursday, while travelling from Lokbhavan to the airport, he refused to allow the use of a warning car, ambulance, fire brigade, and other vehicles with his motorcade. An order was issued on his instructions in this regard, with strict directives to ensure that the number of accompanying vehicles was kept limited.Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for fuel conservation, he called for minimum use of govt vehicles at other levels as well, alongside his official motorcade, and urged the use of public transport.
