Jaipur: Poor weather conditions in Delhi NCR forced 11 flights to divert to Jaipur from 11 pm Sunday till early Monday morning. A Jaipur-bound flight from Bengaluru, IX 1526, was diverted to Bhopal Sunday night. A Jaipur-Delhi flight, 6E 2376, was diverted to Lucknow Sunday night. Passengers expressed frustration over being confined to aircraft for hours without updates on flight status or the opportunity to deboard.Manoj Mishra, a passenger on flight AI 1895, vented his feelings on social media platform X.. He said that passengers were stranded at the Lucknow airport till 4 am Monday.Anuj Setia, who was on flight QP 1810, posted on X that the flight was diverted to Jaipur due to poor weather and landed at 12:30 am. “It’s a colossal mismanagement from Akasa Airlines. We are still at Jaipur airport and we have not been allowed to even deboard the plane,” shared Setia on X at 4 am.Airport sources said that more than 35 flights were diverted to Jaipur in the past month due to poor weather conditions in northern India. “Jaipur Airport continues to be the diversion hub for northern India due to advanced technological capabilities that ensure seamless aircraft operations, actively supporting airports across the network in managing diversions smoothly and efficiently,” said a source from the airport.
