Alwar: The special POCSO Court Number 1 in Alwar Tuesday sentenced a man to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 15,000 for raping a 15-year-old girl last year.Additional public prosecutor Vinod Kumar Sharma said the minor victim’s father filed a report at the police station on May 31, 2025, alleging that the accused, a neighbour, broke into the house at night, stuffed a cloth into the minor’s mouth and took her to the rooftop, where he tied her hands and feet and raped her. Sharma said the minor’s mother woke up to use the bathroom and, not finding her daughter, searched the house. On reaching the rooftop, she found the accused had stuffed a cloth into her mouth, tied her hands and feet, and was raping her. He fled after seeing the victim’s mother, he said. The victim’s father later filed a report at the police station the following morning. The court examined evidence from 16 witnesses and 41 documents before sentencing the accused to 20 years of imprisonment.
