SHO nets suspect in CHO paper leak case from Jalore

Jaipur: Rajasthan Police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) Wednesday arrested a suspect wanted in connection with the Community Health Officer (CHO) recruitment exam paper leak case, officials said.ADG (SOG) Vishal Bansal identified the accused as Ganpat Lal Malwada (31), a resident of Malwada village in Chitalwana tehsil of Jalore district.The arrest was made in connection with a case registered at SOG police station under sections of cheating and criminal conspiracy, along with provisions of the Rajasthan Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act.Officials said the CHO Recruitment Examination-2020, conducted by the state health department on Nov 10, 2020, was compromised by an organised gang.Investigators said the question paper was leaked after sealed packets of unused papers kept in a strong room at Jagriti Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School in Jhotwara were illegally accessed in violation of norms.The gang allegedly obtained the paper nearly two hours before the exam, got it solved through a solver team and then distributed it to candidates at multiple locations before the scheduled time.Police said Malwada played a role in assisting co-accused Bhupendra Saran by arranging candidates.Officials added that he has also been linked to other recruitment exam leaks, including the JEN Recruitment Examination-2020 and the First Grade Lecturer Recruitment-2022.Earlier, 20 accused, including school operator Dheeraj Sharma and several others, were already arrested in the case.Further investigation is under way.
