Jaipur: Trainee sub-inspectors selected in the 2021 recruitment have offered to undergo narcoanalysis and polygraph tests, urging the state govt not to cancel the recruitment process.In affidavits submitted to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on April 8 through their parents, the trainees said they were willing to face such tests and should be dismissed if found guilty. They also gave written consent for the test results to be treated as final proof of their innocence or guilt. The trainees alleged that some officials were attempting to falsely implicate them and suppress facts related to the recruitment process.In the affidavits, parents stated the govt earlier maintained that segregation of tainted and genuine candidates was possible and that there was no evidence of a large-scale leak.They alleged that contradictory submissions were later made before the court, claiming segregation was not feasible, and termed it an attempt to shield past lapses while targeting innocent candidates.Questioning the move to cancel the recruitment, they said such a step would amount to “collective punishment” affecting over 750 families.The trainees have urged the govt to present its stand effectively before the Supreme Court and reiterate that segregation is possible, especially when candidates are willing to undergo scientific tests.
