Jaipur: A 28-year-old history-sheeter was arrested Saturday for allegedly breaking into a locked house and stealing a gallantry medal that was posthumously awarded to a martyr of the 1961 Goa Liberation War. Police said the medal was recovered and identified the accused as Abhishek alias Ankit, 28, a resident of Anupgarh in Sriganganagar. The case was registered at Anupgarh police station on the complaint of Vikram Singh, 35, grandson of Lance Havildar Shishpal Singh, to whom the gallantry medal was awarded posthumously in 1962. tnn
