5 held, 1 detained over murder of Chittor man

Bhilwara: Dungla police and the district special team of Chittorgarh Thursday arrested five people and detained one minor over the alleged murder of Kamlesh Mogiya on Sept 21. Police have seized a car, sword and knife used in the incident.Chittorgarh superintendent of police Dharmendra Singh said the complainant’s elder brother Kamlesh (35), a resident of Talavda, had gone to keep watch over the crop in the field. During that time, unidentified persons attacked Mogya with a sharp knife and sword due to which he collapsed in a blood-soaked condition. Hearing Kamlesh’s screams, Lalibai Mogya, who had gone for defecation, the complainant’s daughter, and Lakshmi, wife of Kalulal Mogya, reached the spot. Mogya was brought to Dungla Govt Hospital where doctors declared him dead, he said. The SP said that in the preliminary investigation, it emerged that this blind murder stemmed from a dispute in the village between the deceased and accused Bhupendra and Puneet over children playing in the Ganpati garba pandal, after which the deceased allegedly went outside the accused’s house, abused their mother and sister, and threatened them, he said.Following this, accused Bhupendra and Puneet resolved to take revenge. Under the plan, they sent a minor near the school to keep watch on the deceased, while Bhupendra and Puneet left Udaipur with three other friends in a car. The five of them came from Udaipur and murdered Kamlesh Mogiya with the sword and knife they had brought with them.
