Yemeni family, including 3 kids, deported from Ajmer for violating visa rules

Ajmer: A Yemen citizen, along with his wife and three children, has been deported back to his country from Ajmer due to violation of visa rules in obtaining a refugee card for himself and his family through the United Nations High Commission for Refugees. He was studying at a private university in Ajmer. In March this year, a Nigerian student was also issued a leave India notice on March 7 because he overstayed while studying at a private university in Ajmer.
Additional SP, CID, (Visa), Rajesh Meena said that Yemen citizen, Abdullah Saleh, took admission in the PhD programme at the private university in 2022. However, he was not regularly attending the university and was not residing consistently in Ajmer.
The student, his wife, and three children lived with him on a valid visa. The department’s investigation against him found that he was violating visa rules. Consequently, he was issued a leave India notice on April 29 and deported along with his family to Yemen. TNN
