Jaipur: A 27-year-old woman was found murdered inside her rented accommodation in Ramnagariya Friday, three days after moving in with her husband. Police said an FIR was filed in the case Saturday for the murder and launched a search for the absconding man, who was last seen leaving the house with a bag.The police said the woman, identified as Pooja Jatav of Mathura, was discovered lying dead on the bed of the couple’s room at Atishya Vihar. “A murder FIR has been registered on the complaint of her uncle Lala Ram,” said an official.Neighbours told police that the couple, who shifted into the accommodation on August 19, were seen together in the morning of August 22. Around 11 am, her husband Karanpal of Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, was spotted leaving hurriedly with a bag. When the landlord later checked the room, the door was open and the woman’s body was found inside. Police collected evidence from the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.Investigators said the cause of death will be confirmed after the post-mortem report by a medical board. Relatives told police that the victim was living in Jaipur for the past three years, supporting herself through labour work. About three months ago, she married Karanpal of her own accord and was living with him since. Police said an investigation is underway to trace Karanpal, who is the prime suspect.
