Jaipur: Police Friday arrested a 35-year-old woman for allegedly killing her husband Thursday with the help of her minor son and dumping the body in a sack after partially burning it to conceal identity in the Kardhani area.Deputy police commissioner (West) Prashant Kiran identified the accused as Mausmi, while the deceased was identified as Sheikh Sahan, a native of Malda in West Bengal. The couple’s 15-year-old son, a juvenile in conflict with law, has also been detained in the case. According to Kiran, information was received from the control room about a body lying near Shivnagar Bypass on Nivaru Road. A team reached the spot and found the body stuffed in a sack, with the lower portion inside and the upper body partially outside, while the face and waist area had been burnt. Police said efforts were made to destroy evidence and delay identification. Dog squad, MOB and FSL teams were called to collect evidence from the scene. Investigators analysed CCTV footage and found that the body was transported in a sack on a cycle rickshaw by a woman and a juvenile. The trail led police to Riddhi Siddhi Colony in Nangal Jaisa Bohra. Through local verification, police identified the deceased and reached his residence, where the accused woman was questioned. During interrogation, police said the woman confessed to killing her husband following frequent domestic disputes. She allegedly struck his head with a hammer-like object and strangled him with a rope. Police said she, along with her son, packed the body in a sack and dumped it at an isolated location during the night. She also admitted to burning the face and waist area using petrol to conceal the victim’s identity.
