Volunteers from TN visit RTI Mela

Ajmer: A group of 32 members from Tamil Nadu visited the RTI Mela at Narwarkheda village in Beawar where the first protest demanding RTI was held in 1996. Hakkim from Madurai said, “We are a group of volunteers who are making people in Tamil Nadu aware of the RTI law and their rights. This law should be stronger in the interest of Indian citizens, but this is not so in the govt’s view.” Another member of the group said, “There should be more awareness among people about this law, and they should also be demanding to make this law stronger.”
