Jaipur: Vishal Baid emerged as best golfer in the sixth edition of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)-AU Invitation Golf Cup at the Rambagh Golf Club here on Saturday.The one-day tournament was played in various handicap categories such as men, women, veterans 60 plus and others, in the stableford format. Around 100 participants from diverse backgrounds including golfers, bureaucrats and industry members took part in the event.During the ceremony, both winners and runners-up across different categories and handicaps were felicitated. KC Goyal won the blind fold monster title, while the closest to the pin award was claimed by Dr Zoheb Naqvi. Vimi Bhatia was honoured as the best lady golfer and Kamal Bordia received the best veteran golfer.Players also delivered commendable performances in the handicap categories. In the 18-24 handicap category, Avinish Kasliwal emerged as the winner, with Gaurav Mohan Mathur as the runner-up. In the 13-17 handicap category, Vikash Rajoria secured the winner’s position, while Vibhore Agarwal finished as runner-up. In the 0-12 handicap category, Gaurav Swami won the title, with Bharat Raturi as the runner-up.The tournament was attended by several distinguished guests, including General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Army Command, Lt Gen Manjinder Singh; Former Chairman, CII Rajasthan, Gaurav Roongta; Vice Chairman, CII Rajasthan State Council, Rajneesh Bhandari; President and Senior Director and Head, CII Rajasthan, Nitin Gupta; Chairman, INA Solar, Manish Gupta and Managing Director, Danish Pvt Ltd, Shivam Talwar, among others.All the dignitaries presented trophies to the winners and runners-up across various categories.
