Jaipur: Saras parlours offering ice-creams, snacks, sweets and other products of Rajasthan Cooperative Dairy Federation (RCDF) are set to make their debut in other states. As part of plans for the state dairy’s expansion, a Saras parlour will be set up at Bikaner House in New Delhi, followed by similar parlours in other states, including Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Also, the state govt is planning to offer Rajasthani food at these parlours for visitors.RCDF managing director Shruti Bhardwaj said that apart from the parlour at Bikaner House in New Delhi, Saras outlets will also be opened across the National Capital Region (NCR) and neighbouring states such as Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. “This is part of a broader strategy to take Rajasthan’s cooperative dairy products to a national market,” she added.In addition, special Saras parlours are planned at key religious and tourist locations in Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh.“A modern outlet will be established near the Mahakal Temple to cater to devotees, offering high-quality milk and dairy products. Similarly, outlets will be opened in the Govardhan Parikrama area in collaboration with local dairy unions to ensure easy availability of Saras products to pilgrims,” she added.The Saras outlets will offer a wide range of products, including milk, curd, buttermilk, lassi, shrikhand, ghee and butter.Alongside dairy items, there will also be arrangements to serve traditional Rajasthani food, giving visitors a taste of the state’s culture and cuisine.The state govt has earmarked Rs 100 crore in the 2026–27 budget for opening Saras outlets in NCR and other states. This investment is expected to significantly boost the brand’s reach and strengthen Rajasthan’s cooperative dairy sector, officials said.Authorities said that this is aimed not only to enhance visibility of Saras, the state govt’s brand, at the national level but also to benefit dairy farmers by expanding market access and increasing demand for their products.
