Jaipur: City police Thursday traced two missing minor girls in separate cases and reunited them with their families. DCP (north) Karan Sharma said in the first case, a Class 10 student had run away from home after being scolded by parents. On Wednesday afternoon, the 16-year-old left her house in Jaysinghpura Khor without informing anyone. When her family failed to locate her among relatives and acquaintances, they lodged a missing persons report. A police team immediately began scanning over 100 CCTV footage clips to track her movements. The footage showed the girl travelling through Jamwa Ramgarh, Aandhi, Saithal, Dausa, Bassi, and Kanota before reaching Jagatpura, about 30 kilometres from her home. Police intercepted her there and safely brought her back. She was handed over to her family later. In the second case, police reunited a six-year-old girl with her family more than two weeks after she went missing. The child disappeared from her home on July 24. However, her father did not approach the police at the time. “He finally came to the police station Wednesday to report her missing,” Sharma said. tnn
